Muslim Aid Sri Lanka continues to engage in emergency relief efforts as the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic grips the nation.

Muslim Aid Sri Lanka continues to engage in Covid19 relief efforts to reach the most vulnerable and daily wage-earning families struggling during the lockdown.

Muslim Aid staff and volunteers came together at this crucial time to assemble 6000 dry ration packs. The distributions will take place during the next few days starting from tomorrow, covering the most affected areas, initially in the Colombo and Gampaha districts.

Muslim Aid supported thousands of affected families when the first wave of Covid19 hit the country in March and April this year. Once again Muslim Aid has begun its emergency response operation since the second wave of the pandemic gripped the nation in the beginning of October 2020.

Muslim Aid HQ in the UK, donors; partner organizations and well-wishers contributed towards the relief programme; and our collaborative efforts have aided many vulnerable families who could not afford even one meal a day.

Considering the importance of Covid19 safety and good hygiene requirements, Muslim Aid is also planning to distributed around 2000 hygienic packs among the women-headed families and selected quarantine centers for the benefit of vulnerable women.

Our mission will continue and we welcome your assistance and donations to reach a bigger number of families, as there is a great and urgent need.
